The A Finals of one of the most anticipated events in the program of Genoa, European Capital of Sport 2024, have concluded today: the World Rowing Coastal Endurance Championships, which saw the participation of over 700 athletes from more than 40 nations, representing all five continents. The event, held in the stunning setting of San Nazaro Beach on Corso Italia, attracted the attention of many rowing enthusiasts and beyond.
Present at today’s finals was the President of the Italian Rowing Federation (FIC), Giuseppe Abbagnale, underscoring the importance of the event both nationally and internationally. Also in attendance was the Mayor of Genoa, Marco Bucci, who participated in the award ceremonies, once again highlighting Genoa’s central role in the sporting landscape of 2024. At the end of the day, President Abbagnale and Mayor Bucci joined the awards ceremony for the athletes, alongside the municipal councilors for Sport, Alessandra Bianchi, and for Security and Civil Protection, Sergio Gambino, as well as the president of the organizing committee, Marco Dodero.
